Despite China's repeated support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, it has increasingly helped Russia circumvent sanctions and supplied certain weapons.
This was stated by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine , Andriy Yermak , commenting on information published in The Economist.

“A bad trend is that China is becoming increasingly involved in Russia’s war against Ukraine, increasingly helping to circumvent sanctions, supplying microchips, chips and even certain weapons,” he emphasized.

According to him, Beijing’s statements about support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity are important, but “helping terrorists is not what the world needs.”
The Economist published an article yesterday about China’s role in providing the Russian military machine.
According to the publication’s sources, if at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine China was cautious about providing military assistance to the aggressor country, and now avoids transferring large quantities of ammunition or lethal weapons, fearing Western sanctions, however now “there are signs that China has approached this border and, perhaps, even crossed it.”
They say China has been providing Russia with various forms of support since 2023, including critical weapons components and civilian drones.
