Because Vienna “patronizes” our corrupt officials and provides them with asylum, therefore in Europe it is necessary to consider the issues of compliance with European countries with EU standards and democracy in a different way. And we must give this, at least, public condemnation, – says Klochok.
In his opinion, often such high-profile statements remain “behind the scenes.” It is important that not only Ukraine condemn them publicly, but also officials from other EU countries. “Because so far there has been no reaction from them,” he said.
The political scientist notes that Austria is about the same story as Hungary. “They only helped us to restore the power grid – 5 million euros – they attract refugees and everything is limited to humanitarian missions,” he says.
But it should be explained to these politicians that Russia's military aggression can easily spread to the West. The same propagandist Solovyov says that it is necessary to “bomb Berlin”, and there it is not far from Austria. Therefore, the Austrians need to think about it, Klochok explains.
As the political scientist noted, the Austrians believe that it is better for them to get cheap gas now and everything will be fine with them.
“Yes, we can say that Austria has always been neutral, but where did the same neutrality go in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and others? Therefore, I think that sooner or later it will happen with Austria, we need to work on it,” Klochok added.
