Law enforcement officers also searched Crooks' home in Bethel Park and members of his family were interrogated.

After questioning, it was learned that the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle used in the shooting was legally purchased by his father, sources said.

Investigators are finding out how Crooks gained access to the weapon, and are also collecting additional information about him.
