Attack on Kyiv: 28 dead, rescue operation completed

According to the latest data, 28 people were killed as a result of a combined attack on Kyiv on June 17.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko reported the completion of the search and rescue operation in the Solomensky district of the capital, which lasted more than 39 hours.

The bodies of 23 victims were pulled out from under the rubble. In total, 28 people were killed and more than 140 were injured as a result of the night attack on Kyiv.

The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the oldest victim was 91 years old, and the youngest victim was a 22-year-old guy.

More than 400 rescuers, 200 pieces of equipment, drones and search dogs are involved in the rescue operation.

Two people were rescued from the rubble, and about 50 more were unblocked. More than 220 people received emergency psychological assistance.

Klimenko also reported that almost 500 reports of property damage were received. More than 300 law enforcement officers worked at the scene.

Massive attack on Kyiv today: what are the consequences

During the night attack on Kiev today, the enemy used 175 drones, more than 14 cruise missiles, and at least two ballistic missiles in the capital and its environs, notes the head of the Kiev City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.

According to Vitali Klitschko, a 62-year-old US citizen died in the house opposite the one where doctors were providing assistance to the victims. Doctors confirmed clinical death โ€“ biological.
