There are a lot of challenges in Crimea, and local residents felt the consequences of the war firsthand. This is primarily due to illegal forced mobilization for the war against Ukraine.

Tamila Tasheva, permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, told Channel 24 about this. She noted that there is a covert mobilization of Ukrainians on the peninsula.

“People are sent to war. Of course, the Crimeans really do not want this. They understand that their relatives and they themselves can die. Actually, we monitor the funerals that take place on the territory of the peninsula. We are trying to identify the Crimeans who were sent to hostilities. According to our information, at least 109 military funerals took place in Crimea, of which 60 are Crimeans and citizens of Ukraine,” Tasheva said.

Protest moods

According to Tasheva, these 60 graves of Ukrainians in Crimea are just the tip of the iceberg. She is convinced that there are many more of them.

The presidential representative also spoke about anti-war sentiments. They manifest themselves in various forms – from going to the square with a poster “No to war” to pouring yellow and blue paint on the occupation administration of Yevpatoriya. In addition, Crimeans beat cars with the letters Z.

We know of at least 100 protests. We think there are more. We monitor the trials taking place on the territory of Crimea. This is about heroic people, because they have lived in the occupation and war for 8 years and have the courage to say something against, – said Tasheva.

She believes that it is impossible to compare Crimea and the territory of the Kherson region or Zaporozhye just because Crimea has been under occupation for 8 years. Also, as Tasheva noted, in 2014 Ukraine did not have such a powerful Armed Forces of Ukraine and reliable power.

“Citizens did not know who was behind them and whether they could put up serious resistance,” Tasheva stressed.

According to the presidential representative, it is important to say that the Crimea is now being used as a springboard for an attack. In particular, it was Vinnitsa that was hit from the Black Sea. Rockets are also launched from Sevastopol itself.

“There is no tourist season, of course. And there hasn't been in the last 7 years, but after a full-scale invasion, everything finally stopped,” the presidential representative said.

There are hundreds of thousands of imported Russians on the peninsula

Tasheva noted that, in her opinion, the rhetoric that supported Russia in Crimea in 2014 should be abandoned. She recalled the last elections on the peninsula, which were held in 2010, and showed real support for pro-Russian sentiments – at the level of 4%.

“The most Russian then party was” Russian unity “, which was headed by Sergei Aksenov. Now he is the head of the occupation administration. They had 3 or 4 seats in the Ukrainian Crimean parliament. All the rest were city madmen and people who had Soviet sentiment. The so-called referendum. We do not recognize Crimea. And only then about 30% of people voted,” Tasheva explained.

She noted that there were pro-Russian sentiments, but this does not mean that the Crimeans supported the occupation. However, even some of those who were supportive of the Russians were disappointed.

Most of them today are Russian citizens. This is from 500 to 700 thousand imported. What to do with them is a private matter. Of course, they will never change their minds,” Tasheva said.

She explained that when these people illegally entered the territory of Ukraine, they must leave after regaining control over Ukrainian Crimea.< /p>
