Lyashko spoke about the consequences of the shelling of hospitals/Collage of Channel 24
Viktor Lyashko said that infidels destroyed 39 medical institutions. Almost 500 more were damaged.
The Minister of Health spoke about this during a broadcast on the Rada channel. In particular, these data are as of the evening of April 28.
At least 13 billion hryvnias are required for the restoration of medical institutions
Viktor Lyashko said that the most difficult situation in hot spots is where there are active battles. Due to the large number of wounded, Ukrainian doctors work around the clock there. It is also difficult in Mariupol, which is constantly shelled by the invaders.
Today, there are already 369 (medical institutions – 24 channels) damaged healthcare institutions, 39 have been destroyed, and these 39 require 13 billion 500 million hryvnias to restore them. These are miscalculations that exist today,” the minister noted.
In addition, Viktor Lyashko said that:
- they are now developing concepts for each of the de-occupied areas, providing for comprehensive solutions – and the restoration of the destroyed, and the modernization of hospitals by class;
- to implement this, the Ministry of Health is working within the framework of a nationwide strategy for the restoration of Ukraine under the leadership of the president and government. The Ministry is working on this with the regional military administrations so that there is a comprehensive solution.
“Today there are already assurances of support from our international partners, governments of different countries about the help that the medical system will receive in order to recover and became even better than it was,” Viktor Lyashko said.
Briefly about the latest attacks on hospitals during the war
- Occupiers continue to be boiled at Azovstal in Mariupol. Therefore, on April 28, part of the hospital building collapsed, in particular, the operating room. There were more than 500 wounded and doctors there.
- On April 27, infidels fired at the city hospital in Severodonetsk. Despite this, the institution continues to work.
- On the same day, the enemies fired at one of the two operating hospitals in the Lugansk region. Unfortunately, one person died due to the attack.
