Government provides assistance to Ukrainians who have lost their breadwinner. There are several programs that provide for the provision of an appropriate pension.

Children are most often in need of such assistance. Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna spoke about this in more detail on June 14 on the Rada TV channel, channel 24 reports.

There is a survivor's pension. It is assigned either depending on the seniority of the deceased person, or as state assistance if the person had no seniority,” says Lazebna.

The Minister of Social Policy says that there are several programs to provide pensions to Ukrainians who have lost their breadwinner. For example, assistance to the families of servicemen or the families of the missing.

People whose relatives have disappeared should report this to the National Police. They then have to go to the pension fund and apply accordingly. The government will pay a pension to all those in need.

Assistance will be paid to all children under 18 years of age, as well as non-working students until graduation. Non-working adults can also receive a pension. For example, a wife who has lost her breadwinner is raising a child.

Help for the victims of the war

Financial assistance can be received by low-income Ukrainians who suffered as a result of a full-scale invasion of Russia. It will be provided by the Red Cross together with the Ministry of Social Policy.

Assistance provides for payments in the amount of 2,500 hryvnia per month. It will be allocated to each member of the family. In order to qualify for funds, two important criteria must be met. Firstly, you need to have the official status of a low-income family, registered with the Ministry of Social Policy, and secondly, until February 24, you must live in one of the communities affected by the war. Pay attention! Not only IDPs, but also refugees from other countries of the world can receive financial assistance. In particular, the money is paid to war-affected Ukrainians in Poland and Germany.
