The Russians once again resorted to a terrorist act and on October 17 they launched a new massive missile attack on Ukraine. The Sumy region also suffered from enemy attacks.
As of 21:30, it became known that there were about 300 arrivals from Russian terrorists in the Sumy region per day. Three missiles hit an infrastructure facility.

According to the Head of the Sumy District Police Department, rescue work, but it is already known that as a result of this strike there are both wounded and dead. So, at present there are 14 wounded people in the hospital, three of whom were rescued from the rubble. Unfortunately, 5 people died.

Their enemy fired from mortars, cannon artillery, rockets from helicopters, from “Grads” and fired automatic bursts. As a result, the power line was damaged in the Velikopisarevskaya community and a corn field was on fire, and a woman was injured in the Seredino-Budskaya community, 6 private houses were damaged and 3 fires broke out.
What was previously known about the shelling victims
The occupiers hit not only critical infrastructure, but also civilian objects. Thus, due to a missile strike, a fire broke out and destruction occurred at a civilian infrastructure facility in the Romny district. Rescuers from the rubble quickly managed to save two people.
By evening, it became known about the first dead. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, at least one person, an employee of the enterprise, was killed as a result of the shelling. Two more workers were injured, and another missing worker is being sought.
Other information has surfaced. So, the head of the Romny RVA, Denis Vashchenko, reported that as a result of shelling under the rubble, about four people were killed and wounded, in total. The head of the Sumy OVA, Dmitry Zhivitsky, also reported that at least 3 people were killed due to the attack of infidels.
They also commented on the shelling in the State Emergency Service. They informed that two people were rescued from the rubble.
