Occupiers hit Transcarpathia for the first time since the beginning of the war/JSC “Zakarpatgaz”

As a result of a missile strike, residential buildings in the urban-type settlement of Volovets in Transcarpathia were left without gas supply. We are talking about more than fifty houses.

Enemies attacked Transcarpathia on the evening of May 3rd. It is known that an enemy missile hit one of the railway substations near the railway station in the village.

The invaders damaged the gas pipeline in Transcarpathia

As a result of a missile strike, 57 houses in Volovets were left without gas supply. The gas distribution pipeline was damaged, the gas service reported.

They also asked consumers to turn off the taps in front of gas-consuming equipment.

Specialists of the gas service will begin emergency and restoration work only on the morning of May 4.

Moreover, people were called to Zakarpatgaz:

  • do not panic;
  • do not distribute photos and videos from the scene, especially where at least some elements of objects or terrain are visible, because the enemy can correct his actions;
  • < li>in case of an alarm, do not ignore the sirens, but go down to cover.

Russia fired 18 missiles at Ukraine during the evening of May 3

The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Russian invaders fired at least 18 missiles from the Caspian region, hitting 6 infrastructure facilities.

The missiles were launched with the help of Tu-95 or Tu-160 strategic bombers. Unfortunately, the enemies hit:

  • Dnipropetrovsk,
  • Kirovograd,
  • Lvov,
  • Vinnitsa,
  • Kyiv,
  • and Transcarpathian regions.

Russia also launched missile strikes from other means on the Odessa and Donetsk regions.

It is worth noting that, under the cover of the fighters of the strike aviation group, about 10 missile and bomb strikes were carried out against the concentration of invaders' troops, ammunition depots and manpower.

What is known about the first attack on Transcarpathia during the war

  • On the evening of May 3, approximately at 21:35, the head of the Transcarpathian OVA, Viktor Mikita, said that a Russian missile had flown into an object in a mountainous region of Transcarpathia. Services were already working on the spot, clarifying information about damage and possible casualties.
  • Approximately at 22:40, the regional authorities reported that a rocket had hit one of the railway substations near the railway station in Volovets, in the Mukachevo district of the Transcarpathian region.
  • Because of this, windows were shattered in houses within a radius of 500 meters, and cars nearby were damaged.
  • Then fire and rescue services professionally fought the fire and dismantled the rubble at the scene.< /li>
