Ukrainian Armed Forces resolutely repulsed the assault in the Kharkiv region/General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine which the invaders allegedly took, the enemy continues to try to attack. Meanwhile, our defenders are effectively counteracting the invaders.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of July 8, Ukrainian soldiers decisively suppressed an attempt by an enemy assault in the direction of Dementievka, Kharkov region.
In general, in the Kharkiv direction, the invaders continue to conduct defensive operations. The enemy fired from artillery, multiple rocket launchers and tanks. It was restless in the areas of settlements:
- Kharkiv,
- Nikolskoe,
- Lebyazhye,
- Udi,
- Dementievka,
- Upper and Stary Saltov,
- Petrovka,
- Russian Tishki,
- Bayrak,

Meanwhile, in the Volyn and Polesye directions, there are no significant changes in the composition and activities of the units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus in the border areas of the Brest and Gomel regions. And in the Seversky direction, the enemy fired from rocket artillery and mortars in the area of the settlement of Mikhalchyna Sloboda, Chernihiv region.
Near Kharkov, there is a Russian division 144
Advisor to the head Office of the President Aleksey Arestovich said that Russian forces were stationed near Kharkov. According to him, 144 divisions in full strength are located on the territory of the Belgorod region. He added that this is an unpleasant force, and if it comes to Kharkov, then there will be a problem. But, according to Arestovich, the direction will not be Kharkov.
