The occupiers are not doing well in the war against Ukraine, which is why they launch rocket attacks on critical infrastructure and densely populated cities. The enemy cannot stop the counteroffensive of the Defense Forces in the Kharkiv and Kherson directions, and therefore is trying to intimidate the Ukrainians.
Over the past day alone, the occupiers have launched more than 61 missile and 32 air strikes. In addition, the Russians carried out about 92 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
Ukrainian defenders destroyed 73 air targets, including 46 cruise missiles and 27 drones. As a result of a massive missile strike over the past day, the infrastructure of more than 30 settlements was damaged. At the same time, the threat of enemy missile strikes against critical infrastructure and peaceful neighborhoods remains.
The enemy wants to thwart the UAF counteroffensive
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the occupiers are not abandoning their attempts to hold the temporarily occupied territories, they are shelling the positions of our troops. The Russians are concentrating their efforts on trying to disrupt the counteroffensive actions of the Defense Forces units, trying to conduct offensive operations in certain areas.

On in most directions, the enemy fired at:
- in the Seversky direction – from mortars, cannon and rocket artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Yanzhulovka, Timonovichi, Mikhalchin Sloboda of the Chernihiv region and Belopolye and Miropolie, Sumy region;
- in the Slobozhansky direction – from artillery and tanks, in the areas of the settlements of Ivashki, Strelechya, Gurovka, Kamenka, Dvurechnaya, Stelmakhovka, Borshcheva, Sotnitsky Kazachok, Guryev Kazachok, Kazachya Lopan, Olkhovatka and Chugunovka;
- on the Kramatorsk direction– from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery, along the entire line of collision. In particular, in the areas of the settlements of Belogorovka, Grekovka, Novoegorovka, Raygorodok, Pervomayskoye, Novolyubovka, Makeevka, Novoe, Zarechnoye, Terny, Serebryanka and Grigorovka.

- In the Bakhmut direction the enemy inflicted fire damage on the areas of the settlements of Seversk, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoye, Mayorsk, Kurdyumovka, New York, Krasnaya Gora , Chasov Yar, Yakovlevka, Zelenopolye and Odradovka;
- on the Avdeevsky, Novopavlovsky and Zaporozhye directionsthe enemy did not carry out offensive actions. It is important to note that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not record signs of the formation of offensive groups on the territory of Belarus and the movement of troops.Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the invaders in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoye, Mayorsk, Soledar and Pervomayskoye. p> Also, the aircraft of the Defense Forces over the past day inflicted 6 strikes, as a result of which the defeat of 4 places of concentration of weapons and military equipment, as well as 2 anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy was confirmed. In addition, air defense units destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft.
Over the previous day, missile troops and artillery hit a command post, four areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, one enemy S-300 anti-aircraft missile system and one ammunition depot.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the losses of the enemy, which he suffered on October 9 near the village of Belozerka, Kherson region. Our soldiers destroyed about 15 units of enemy military equipment. On October 10, a hangar with enemy military equipment was hit in Berislav, Kherson region, losses are being specified.
