The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated 3,800 square kilometers of Kharkiv region from Russian troops. The number of de-occupied cities and villages has reached 300.
About 150,000 Ukrainians have become free from occupation. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar on the air of the telethon.
How many settlements have already been liberated
The Ukrainian military returned more than 300 settlements of the Kharkiv region under the control of Ukraine. 3800 square kilometers were liberated from the enemy. Malyar spoke about the resilience of the spirit of Ukrainians in the occupied territories. According to her, people actually had no way to find out what was happening on the controlled part.

Deputy Minister Defense of Ukraine added that the operation is currently ongoing. It is planned until the complete de-occupation of the Kharkiv region. Malyar added that Ukraine decided to continue the operation in connection with the successes achieved at the front. The Ministry of Defense does not disclose the details of the counteroffensive, but hopes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will liberate the region as soon as possible.
Malyar also mentioned the de-occupation of Balakliya. This city is a large railway junction connecting Kharkiv with the Donbass, and its liberation forced the invaders to flee further to the East.
