This was stated by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk. According to him, Russia has several tactical goals.
In particular, the occupying forces do not stop offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone to establish full control of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
At the same time, the enemy is trying to ensure the stability of the land corridor between the Rostov region and the temporarily occupied Crimea and block Ukraine's sea communications in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

According to Motuzyanyk, the Russian command has attracted all its forces and is trying to cordon off the Ukrainian military in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. There the fighting reached its maximum intensity.
The most fierce battles are going on in the Severodonetsk, Bakhmut and Kurakhovsky directions. In order to strengthen the grouping of troops and restore losses, the enemy removes obsolete weapons and military equipment from storage, the speaker of the Ministry of Defense said.
At the same time, Ukrainian troops are conducting a defensive operation, inflicting losses on Russian invaders in all directions< /strong> , where hostilities continue.
Verevshchik also noted that the invaders continue to shell the border areas of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions and launch rocket attacks on infrastructure facilities and residential areas of settlements in Ukraine.
