Malyar explained the advantages of our army/Ministry of Defense
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army has suffered devastating losses. Despite the fact that it was larger in number than ours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine prevailed in strategies and level of training.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar noted that the Russian army failed to capture Kyiv, they concentrated their efforts in the East and South. That is why the situation there is now difficult.

Yes, the Russians are conducting offensive operations in the South and East. They are trying to encircle our combined forces, but nothing comes of them. Malyar stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are giving a very powerful rebuff. Despite this, we have a difficult and long struggle ahead of us.
The aggressor has changed tactics
According to the official, the Russians are changing tactics. They had a plan and strategy when they wanted to capture Kyiv. Therefore, the so-called elite units were thrown there. Of course, the APU destroyed them.
Now there is no such plan. Malyar says that the infidels act according to the situation, study and analyze our tactics and look for weak points. She added that the aggressor seems to have adapted to us, that is, it acts in a similar way.
The Russians have become more careful, they have begun to plan certain steps, not just take the number, but build a chess board. Therefore, now the war is somewhat different than in the early days of a full-scale attack.
Ukrainian army initially had an advantage
According to Malyar, the Russians had and still have an advantage in terms of the number of personnel and weapons. However, since the beginning of the invasion, the Ukrainian army has dominated in strategies, the level of training of the military and the intellectual approach.
That's why the enemy has more losses, practically this high military command,” the Deputy Minister explained.
Despite this, the enemy should not be underestimated, he is strong.

As of May 4, Ukrainian defenders have already liquidated 24,500 people. In addition, thousands of pieces of enemy equipment were neutralized. For example, 1077 tanks, more than 2 thousand armored fighting vehicles, almost 500 artillery systems, etc.
Moreover, these are approximate calculations, and the real losses of the Russians may be higher.
