Army troops train in the UK. Soldiers learn to destroy enemy tanks under the guidance of British instructors.

Instructors from the 5th Battalion of the British Rifles Regiment train our defenders as part of an international training program. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told how the process is going.

By the way, the UK has a long history of supporting the Ukrainian army as part of the Orbital operation.

How the training is carried out

Fighters learn how to use weapons systems and methods of destroying tanks from a distance in an urbanized area. They train to go unnoticed. In particular, we conducted a series of classes during the “City” training course.

This training will give volunteer recruits with little or no military experience the skills to effectively fight on the front lines.

British support

London has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of a full-scale war with Russia. The country provides military and defense assistance. The current prime minister, Boris Johnson, has visited Kyiv several times since February.

The UK recently announced £36 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, East Africa and Syria. In particular, 15 million pounds will be sent to support the victims of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
