Alexander Lukashenko decided to create the so-called “people's militia” in Belarus. Says it is “needed” for protection.
From whom they should defend themselves, the self-proclaimed president of Belarus does not say. He only assures, as propagandists write, that even women and those who do not know how to hold weapons in their hands can enter the militia, informs 24 Channel.
What is known about Lukashenka's “militia”
I have said more than once: every man (and not only a man) should at least be able to handle weapons. At least in order, if necessary, to protect your family, your home, your native corner of the earth and, if necessary, the country, without which there will be no corner, no home, nothing else, – says Lukashenka.
Further, the so-called Minister of Defense of the country, Viktor Khrenin, lists that, allegedly, under martial law, this “militia” should:
- maintain law and order in territories that will be less covered by internal affairs bodies and troops;< /li>
- give the citizens of Belarus, who are not being mobilized, the opportunity to participate in the “defense” of the country.
Khrenin also says that the so-called “people's militia” should be formed on the ground. It should be led by the governor, the chairman of the district executive committee, the village council, together with representatives of the so-called Ministry of the Interior, primarily local police officers.
Moreover, Khrenin has no restrictions on who can join the so-called “militia “Lukashenko. He, like Putin, does not go over people. Yes, it can include:
- mobilization resource, registered in the military commissariats. After all, they say, not everyone will be affected by mobilization;
- first of all, people who are already trained and able to use weapons;
- those people who have not undergone military training, including women.
Lukashenko plans to recruit 100-150 thousand people. They also cynically say that it is possible that there may be more volunteers. They all have to live at home and work. They are assigned to “perform tasks where they are formed”.
Khrenin said that the lists of the “people's militia” would be drawn up right now. They will also be subject to “control, verification activities.” Lukashenka was assured that these “militias” could be trained in a short time.
To ensure the smooth functioning of state bodies and organizations, economic facilities, infrastructure of Belarus in wartime, territorial troops,” the propagandists said.
According to them, these people will be given weapons. They will also have equipment and means of communication.
