In January-February 2022, officials of the State Enterprise Antonov did not allow the military to equip the appropriate defense of the AN-225 Mriya aircraft at the airfield in Gostomel.
Representative of the Security Service of Ukraine Artem spoke about this on the air of the Nevidvorotne Pokarannya program Dekhtyarenko.
— SBU investigators established that in January-February 2022, officials of the State Enterprise Antonov actually prevented National Guard soldiers from establishing proper defense in Gostomel. There was a warning about a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, and GP Antonov had recommendations and instructions that defense should be strengthened. But the state-owned enterprise prevented this, — said Dekhtyarenko.
According to the SBU representative, officials did not allow the military into the territory of the enterprise and prohibited the construction of defensive and protective structures.

Such actions of Antonov’s representatives led to the destruction Russian occupiers of the AN-225 Mriya.
Three persons involved in the case of the destruction of the aircraft received suspicion. Two of them were detained and are in custody.
The third defendant is hiding from justice, his whereabouts have been established, Dekhtyarenko said.
