After the de-occupation of Kherson, dungeons began to be discovered in the region, where civilians were interrogated and punished. One of these was found on Thursday, January 4th.
It is noted that the dungeon was located under the building of the police of the Kherson region. Law enforcers have already cleared mines in the basement where locals were tortured.
What did the dungeon look like
The basement, where the residents of Kherson were abused, is divided into rooms, each of which has its own number. On the walls you can see the inscription “Do not lie!”.
Judging by the photo, there was a minimum of furniture in the rooms: a table and an armchair, a radiator, broken sinks and doors. A characteristic feature of the occupiers is the lack of items for basic human needs.

- After the liberation of Kherson, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets published evidence of the atrocities of the occupiers. In the dungeons were both pro-Ukrainian citizens and people with a fortune who were offered release in exchange for money. In addition, there are confirmed facts that, after torture, the victims were killed.
- Lubinets expressed the opinion that Russian dungeons would be found in other settlements. In the dismissed settlements, civilian premises are found that were recycled in order to support people.
- There are locks on the doors, the absence of toilets and elementary furniture, and on the walls there are marks indicating the number of days where our people were in such conditions.
- Lubinets added that he talked with a guy who was kept in one place for 45 days and tortured. During this time, he saw dozens of people being tortured along with him. They were beaten with electricity, metal pipes, their bones were broken, and all this happened on camera.
