Per Westberg resigned from Amnesty International/Collage Channel 24
Amnesty International's scandalous report on the Armed Forces provoked another layoff at the company. Per Westberg has stepped down.

Author Per Westberg is co-founder of the Swedish arm of Amnesty International. He was a member of the organization for almost 60 years.
What Westberg said
The Swedish writer noted that at the beginning of its existence, the organization worked on the release of political prisoners. However, gradually and sometimes controversially, she expanded her mandate.
“I leave Amnesty International with a heavy heart. Because of the statements about the war in Ukraine, I stop a fruitful and long-term cooperation,” Westberg emphasized.

The next day, after the publication of the report of the organization, on August 5, Oksana Pokalchuk resigned from the post of director of the Ukrainian office of Amnesty International. She said that the Ukrainian office constantly noted that the press release that the organization issued on August 4 should at least explore the two sides and take into account the position of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. But, finally, the material sounded like support for Russian narratives.
