Andriy Melnyk to step down as ambassador to Germany in October

by alex

On July 9, President Volodymyr Zelensky fired Andriy Melnyk from the post of Ukraine's ambassador to Germany. He held this post for 8 years.

Note that until the new appointment, the ambassador is still fulfilling his duties. He will return to Ukraine in the autumn.

I have to be in Kyiv before October 15 to take up a new position in the Foreign Ministry, probably,” Melnyk said.

There is information that Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba offered Melnik to become one of several deputies. The appointment must be approved by the government.

Even earlier, the media in Germany reported that Aleksey Makeev could be appointed as the new ambassador of Ukraine.

It should be noted that ambassadors usually return from the country in four, no more six years.

Germany wants to strengthen Ukraine with weapons

  • German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock and deputies from the Bundestag coalition called for an increase in arms supplies to Ukraine. After all, Putin does not want to agree even on the simplest issues. And our state protects all of Europe from preventing the war from spreading to its territory.
  • Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba responded to such statements and appeals. He stated that he supported these aspirations. After all, a well-armed Ukraine is the only way to the complete security of Europe.
  • Even earlier, Germany announced that it would transfer 225 Vulcano missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will destroy the infidels at a distance of 70-80 kilometers.
