The candidacy of the former head coach of the Ukrainian national team and Milan star Andrei Shevchenko was nominated for the post of president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).

Also, members of the COAF executive committee elected delegates to the UAF congress, which is scheduled for January 25. The Kyiv region will be represented by the Chairman of the COAF and the President of FC Kolos Andrey Zasukha, the General Director of FC Kolos Evgeniy Evseev and Andrey Shevchenko.
Shevchenko himself has not yet made official statements regarding participation in the UAF presidential elections.
At the end of November, the media reported that Shevchenko’s candidacy was proposed through intermediaries to the management of Italian Milan for the position of acting head coach. However, it was noted that his coaching list did not completely convince the Rossoneri.
When the UAF presidential elections
The new head of Ukrainian football can be elected on January 25, 2024 during an extraordinary congress of the UAF. At the end of November, the UAF reported that the procedure had already been reported to FIFA and UEFA.
The congress will also consider the election of vice-presidents, vice-presidents and members of the UAF Executive Committee.
