An inconvenient direction for Russians – Svitan about the problems of the enemy on the left bank of Kherson

In the south of Ukraine, fighting continues around the village of Krynki in the left bank of the Kherson region. Ukrainian marines are holding and gradually expanding a bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Dnieper.

The Russian command is sounding the alarm because a serious decision needs to be made – to leave the bridgehead or transfer military personnel from Avdievka and other directions. This information was shared with Channel 24 by a military expert, instructor pilot, and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan, noting that the Kherson direction is inconvenient for the occupiers.

Defense forces can make things worse for the enemy

Svitan explained that the Russians need to go a long way to deliver equipment and personnel for reinforcements to the left bank of the Kherson region:

1. 600 – 700 kilometers, if you leave Rostov and move through Mariupol – Berdyansk – Melitopol – Oleshki or Novaya Kakhovka;
2. 300 – 400 kilometers if you leave Taman and go through the Kerch Bridge – Dzhankoy – Melitopol or Armyansk – Oleshki or Novaya Kakhovka.

The routes are quite long and have already become dangerous. The problems of the Russian troops on the left bank can be aggravated by destroying the Kerch Bridge. Then the Russians will have only one option left – overturning weapons from Rostov. Here it will be difficult for the enemy to establish logistics chains for a stable supply of troops defending or attacking in the Kherson direction.

This is an awkward direction for Russians. And for us it turns out to be the most likely to carry out military operations. “Shoulder” deliveries are short to the left and right banks. The forcing will take place based on the number of forces, reserves and means to carry out such tasks,” emphasized the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russians need to make an important decision

As Svitan explained, the Ukrainian military has so far created a tactical bridgehead on the left bank without specific fortifications that can be abandoned and carried out a raid. But an operational bridgehead is disadvantageous for the attacking side. First you need to understand the further strategic direction – Skadovsk on the Black Sea coast or Armyansk and, accordingly, the entrance to Crimea.

Only after this should a decision be made to implement serious measures on the left bank,” the military expert emphasized.

Now Ukrainian soldiers are performing the following tasks on the left bank:

• reject the line of combat with the Russians and try to protect Kherson residents from enemy artillery work on Kherson and the surrounding area;
• they are trying to lure Russian military personnel from the East – Marinka, Avdeevka, Bakhmut, Kupyansk and the city of Svatovo, Lugansk region.

It is not profitable for the Russians now to overthrow the army from the East to the left bank. At the same time, they also cannot leave the bridgeheads that the Defense Forces are expanding on the left bank.

Now they will be fussing about what decision to make. This causes nervousness in Russian headquarters, which is only to our advantage,” summed up Roman Svitan.

Fighting in the Kherson region: what is known

• The Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine Corps confirmed that our defenders carried out a series of successful operations and gained a foothold in several areas of the left bank of the Dnieper. As a result of the fighting, the occupiers suffered heavy losses in manpower and equipment.
• The General Staff stated that the Defense Forces continue to liquidate personnel and equipment in order to push the invaders as far as possible from the right bank. Currently, the military is conducting sabotage, raids and reconnaissance operations.
• Russian propaganda media reported on November 13 that the Russians decided to regroup troops from the left bank and transfer them to “more advantageous” positions.
