For Amosov, this is the first defeat in his career. He received the Bellator champion title in 2021 in a fight against Brazilian Douglas Lima.
After the victory, Jackson said that what happened during the fight was like a dream for him: I woke up and I still feel like I'm dreaming because I still can't believe it.
After Amosov's defeat, he was supported by Olympic champion Zhan Belenyuk.
– We are with you! You will definitely come back stronger,” Belenyuk wrote on Instagram.
In the previous fight, which took place in February 2023, Amosov defended his title against American Logan Storley. He then won by unanimous decision. After the full-scale invasion of Russia, Amosov, in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, defended Ukraine from Russian invaders.
