Former FSB officer Igor Girkin (Strelkov) is in a Russian pre-trial detention center. The terrorist said that he expects a guilty verdict, but is even more afraid that he will be killed.

Girkin stated his fear that he might repeat the fate of the ex-leader PMC “Wagner” of Yevgeny Prigozhin, who died in a plane crash. This is reported by Channel 24 with reference to Russian media.

Statements by Girkin

The criminal believes that the trigger for his arrest was the external and internal instability of Russia, the fact that the authorities feel their precarious position.

My arrest took place a month after Prigozhin’s rebellion. Most of all, I am afraid that instead of the usual criminal punishment, I will be “amnestied” just like Povar (Prigozhina – Channel 24), noted terrorist Girkin.

The man also noted, that after the verdict there will be no place left for him on Earth, where he was recognized as a law-abiding citizen.

In the West, I have already been recognized as a terrorist after the Hague verdict tribunal. And in my homeland, apparently, the dubious fame of an extremist awaits me,” Girkin said
