Today, July 7, at about 10:00, a place where ammunition was stored caught fire in one of the communities of the Nikolaev region. The cause of the fire is being clarified.

According to the military, the fire at the ammunition depot is not related to Russian shelling. The fire could have been caused by burning dry grass. There is a single detonation of ammunition.

The State Emergency Service units are working at the scene of the incident; the source of the fire has been localized.
The Southern Defense Forces say the ammunition depot is located outside populated areas. There is no threat to the local population, but the military is asking people to stay in a safe place.
Currently, the military command has created a commission to investigate the incident with the fire at the ammunition depot and determine the guilt of the officials whose actions or inactions led to the fire at the location.
