Iran and those Muslim organizations that consider Hamas not terrorists, but fighters for Palestinian freedom, act similarly.

Why the Israeli operation is causing concern among international observers

• In response to the atrocities of Hamas militants, Israel began powerful bombing of the Gaza Strip, which continued intermittently for about 3 weeks. Tel Aviv claimed that it was striking exclusively at military targets, but the Gaza Strip administration claims that these attacks killed about 8,000 Palestinians.
• In addition, during the fighting in the Gaza Strip, 88 UN staff working on humanitarian issues were killed. According to the organization, in no other war have so many of its workers died.
• Due to the prolonged bombing, international support for Israel has wavered somewhat, as can be seen in the UN General Assembly resolution calling for a ceasefire. Then 120 countries around the world voted for it, including Norway, Brazil, France, Indonesia, New Zealand and Spain. At the same time, only 88 countries voted to condemn the Hamas invasion on October 7.
• The goal of Israel's ground operation in Gaza is the destruction of Hamas as an organization. However, in numerous militaristic messages to the people, Israeli politicians did not clearly distinguish between Palestinian civilians and militants. Therefore, in the public opinion of Israelis, against whom a war crime was committed on October 7, all residents of the Gaza Strip are often considered potential terrorists.
