The Russians continue to escalate the situation around the occupied Transnistria. This time, Zakharova spoke about a “dirty bomb” from Ukraine. As it has already been reacted in Moldova.
The representative of the useless ministry in Russia does not stop throwing senseless statements about Ukraine. This time, she quite seriously announced the alleged preparation of a provocation by the “Kyiv regime”, Channel 24 reports. It is clear that not without fantasies about radioactive materials.
Thought something about a “dirty bomb”
Zakharova conducted the entire investigation. She assured that radioactive materials were delivered to the ports of the Odessa region. Referring to some Ukrainian media, the press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that on February 16, one of the European states delivered containers to the port of Chernomorsk. They allegedly contain radioactive substances, and they themselves contain English-language markings. As she convinces, the corresponding cargo did not pass the customs examination.
It would seem that this can be disagreed, but no. She continued the chronological chain. According to Zakharova, similar containers were delivered to the port of Odessa on February 19. They were allegedly found on one of the bulk carriers. And these containers, says a ministry spokesman, contain the radioactive substance “California-252”.
Zakharova noted that upon the arrival of this cargo, the radioactive monitoring system was turned off at the port. But this did not stop the vigilant “journalists”. They found that the Americans supplied these radioactive substances. To be more precise, the company “Frontier Technology Corp.”. She, according to the speaker, is engaged in the production of containers for radioactive substances.
So, what is all this for? And to the fact that all this testifies, in the head of the speaker of the ministry, about the possibility of making a “dirty bomb”. True, Zakharova allegedly voiced not her own opinion here, but the same “investigative journalists.” Thus, she hinted at a “possible provocation” from Ukraine near Transnistria.
Note that the occupiers had already been talking nonsense the day before about the alleged use of chemical weapons by Ukraine. Like, our state is preparing a provocation, striking at radiation-hazardous objects. To then blame Russia for the leakage of radioactive substances, as well as contamination of the area.
Moldova's reaction to Zakharova's statement
The country's government stressed that state institutions are closely monitoring the situation near Transnistria. Moreover, they do not confirm the information that Zakharova is trying to spread.
At the same time, Moldovan citizens were urged to remain calm. They were also asked to trust only official sources of information.
