Sergei Yarmak said that approximately 4 thousand people remained to live in the city of Gulyaipole in Zaporozhye. There is already a front line not far from the city.

The head of the Gulyai-Polye united territorial community told the relevant information on the evening of June 12. This happened on the air of the United News telethon.

The invaders destroyed almost the entire infrastructure in Hulyaipole

Sergei Yarmak said that before the war, approximately 20,000 people lived in the city. Fortunately, most have left. Only approximately 4 thousand remained.

Unfortunately, Russian infidels have already destroyed more than five hundred residential buildings there, as well as a large number of destructions in the villages of the community.

Almost all infrastructure has been destroyed. This is destruction of various kinds, ranging from shrapnel to completely destroyed buildings,” the head of the UTC explained.

He also added that:

  • of the 8 schools that were in the community, 6 – the invaders destroyed;
  • there were “arrivals” in hospitals and centers for the provision of administrative services, in the cultural and sports complex.

“Almost all infrastructure facilities have their destruction” , – explained Yarmak.

There is no water and gas in the city

The official said that there has been no centralized water supply in Huliaipole and the community for more than 3 months.

There has been no gas supply since last week, so people started cooking on a fire. But, we are taking all necessary measures as much as possible. A constant supply of water for the population was provided. There is no power supply, but there is mobile communication,” Serhiy Yarmak said.

He added that the Zaporozhye administration provides fuel for generators.

Fortunately, people from the region can be evacuated by school bus. They are taken out every day, except for weekends.

On the other hand, humanitarian aid is brought from Zaporozhye for those who remain in the city. He also added that Russian infidels have been trying to seize the city for 3 months already. But thanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Huliaipole is Ukrainian.

Briefly about the situation in Zaporozhye

  • The occupiers are shelling Huliaipole almost constantly. Attacks on the city were during 1 – 4 June. In particular, on June 3, the enemies fired multiple rocket launchers at civilian infrastructure and civilian households in the city of Gulyaipole.
  • On June 1, it was reported that the situation in the city was difficult. It was then known that almost 80% of the local population had left the city. People left their homes because Russian infidels are actually wiping the city off the face of the earth with shelling.
  • It should be remembered that the occupying troops in Zaporozhye are constantly redeploying their equipment, aerial reconnaissance and counter-battery combat.
