Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Defense has allowed almost 40 samples of Western and domestic heavy armored vehicles to be used by the Ukrainian army.
The Ukrainian fleet of tracked combat vehicles has been replenished with equipment from more than ten countries since February 2022.

So, in combat operations the Ukrainian army actively uses Abrams, Leopard, Challenger tanks, the AMX-10 RC light tank, M2 Bradley, CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, M113 tracked armored personnel carriers in various modifications, M1126 Stryker wheeled armored personnel carriers, Rosomak, Puma, etc.
— Western models of armored vehicles are distinguished by increased crew protection, engine reliability, good driving characteristics and high accuracy of weapons. This gives an advantage in confronting the enemy, — emphasized by the Ministry of Defense.
Among the codified models of armored vehicles, products of Ukrainian defense enterprises are also effectively used, in particular, modernized versions of Soviet infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers.
Codification and approval of a sample of domestically produced weapons and military equipment for operation with the assignment of a NATO nomenclature number allows for procurement from the state budget for units of the Defense Forces.
