In the Zhytomyr region, auditors of the Ministry of Defense discovered almost 30 thousand new high-quality medical tourniquets in the storage of a Ukrainian military unit, which had been stored for almost one year.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, we are talking about almost 30 thousand new high-quality medical SOF tourniquets made in the USA. These turnstiles were received back in April 2023.
Only six months later did the military unit issue the first of them to the military — only 458 units. The results of the internal audit were reported to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

The Ministry of Defense noted that after the audit, responsible officials began to issue turnstiles. Now almost a third of them — already among Ukrainian military personnel.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense initiated the issuance of other medical equipment (in particular, individual first aid kits and backpacks for combat medics), which had been stored in warehouses in significant quantities for a long time.
