Almost 3.5 thousand trucks are in line in Poland near the border with Ukraine.

Representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andrey Demchenko announced this on the air of One News.

The largest number of trucks are located in front of Shegini — 1200 units and Yagodina — 900 units.

According to a representative of the State Border Service, during the day there is a certain movement at the border in both directions, however, the dynamics are insignificant. The smallest traffic is recorded at the Yagodin checkpoint, although this is the largest infrastructure direction.

— Actually, those implementations in the direction of the Ugrinov checkpoint, when empty cargo vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tons can cross the border to exit Ukraine — So far we do not see any relaxation on the part so that the implementation of certain agreements will give impetus to the increase in transport vehicles, — added Demchenko.

Regarding blockages on the Slovak border, Andrei Demchenko noted that movement is happening, but there are still a certain number of trucks standing in queues. As of this morning, this is more than 500 trucks.

But we must understand that the growth of the queue on the Slovak-Ukrainian border is due to blocking at Polish checkpoints.

Blocking on the Polish-Ukrainian border

Polish carriers began a strike on the border with Ukraine on November 6, blocking the movement of Ukrainian trucks. First, the Grebennoye checkpoints were blocked — Rava-Russkaya, Korcheva — Krakovets and Dorogusk — Yagodin. At the end of November, the Medic checkpoint was blocked — Shegini.
