In the Kharkiv region, a preventive measure has been chosen for a suspect in a case of possible theft of funds during the construction of fortification structures.
This was reported by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Sphere of Defense of the Eastern Region.

As noted, the court chose preventive measures in the form of detention without bail for the organizer and all other participants in the scheme. Among them:

- two directors of LLC;
- two sole proprietors.
Earlier, the accomplices in the case were informed of suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of UAH 5.4 million.
According to the prosecutor's office, they used transit business entities to artificially inflate the price when purchasing materials and non-explosive barriers (dragon's teeth) during the construction of fortifications in the Kharkiv region. The pre-trial investigation is currently ongoing.
As reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, the participants in the scheme purchased goods for fortifications in the Kharkiv region at prices inflated by more than 30% from market prices.
