Iran confirms Israeli attack

Iran says its air defense system successfully countered Israeli attacks, but caused “limited damage” to some locations.

The Iranian air defense statement said Israel attacked military targets in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam.

The first wave of IDF attacks is known to have focused on Iran's air defense system, while the second and third waves focused on missile bases and bases drones, as well as weapons production sites.

Several military bases and a command post of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were also believed to have come under fire. The targets of the attack, according to Israeli officials, were not Iran's oil or nuclear facilities.
