He added that in this form, that is, without mandatory decontamination, the equipment then went to the territory of Belarus, and a certain part went to Russia.
Nuclear workers are well aware of how difficult it is to decontaminate contaminated surfaces. This requires at least a large amount of water supplied under high pressure, and special solutions or even sandblasting. However, after that, all the means used become radioactive.
At the facilities where decontamination is carried out, the resulting radioactive mixture is sent to a special sewer. It is accumulated in special tanks, and then processed and transported to a landfill by special vehicles.
Kalyan doubts that the Russians adhered to such procedures in relation to their military equipment, which was located in the Exclusion Zone. Therefore, the safety of the population, near which this equipment will move, is in question.
