The situation in the Lugansk region is now difficult. There, the Russian troops are trying to attack and advance, and the city is shelled from the sky.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine heroically hold the defense, but the Russians are mercilessly destroying the cities of the Luhansk region, channel 24 reports.

The head of the OVA, Serhiy Gaidai, spoke about the situation in the region, in particular, the humanitarian one.

People have been under constant shelling for 47 days. They “iron” the villages with everything they have: mortars, tanks, artillery, Grads, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Tochka-U, they bomb with aircraft every day,” Gaidai said.

The humanitarian situation is difficult

The head of the OVA said that the humanitarian situation in the Lugansk region is unsatisfactory, because all critical infrastructure has been destroyed.

The critical infrastructure related to water, gas and electricity has been destroyed. Only sometimes electricians manage to do some fantastic things, then in some areas there is electricity or gas, – said Gaidai.

All other points remain practically without any communications. There are also problems with humanitarian supplies and the delivery of the most necessary things to people who remained in the region.

If we talk about Popasna and Rubizhne, then nothing can be delivered there, there are already fighting inside the cities . Even our evacuation buses came under fire there. The humanitarian headquarters in Lisichansk was also fired upon,” Gaidai said.

At the same time, humanitarian aid is brought to cities where it can still be delivered. And in Rubizhne, in the part where the city is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guardsmen themselves distribute aid to those who remain.
