Occupiers strike from artillery and aviation along the entire front line in the Donetsk region/Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Heavy fighting continues in the Donetsk region. The Russian occupiers are not abandoning their attempts to seize the region and are conducting an active offensive.
Thus, the enemy is inflicting air and missile strikes along the entire front line. Russian artillery continues to shell the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as civilian and infrastructure facilities. This was reported by Channel 24 with reference to the press service of the Office of the President.
The situation in the Donetsk region
The Russians tried to break through to Marinka, Krasnogorovka and Novomikhailovka, but ran into strong resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and failed. Also, the enemy continues to actively shell the city of Liman and nearby communities from artillery.
Meanwhile, in the Ocheretinsky territorial community, mines began to self-destruct, which the invaders scattered last night with the help of the Smerch MLRS . Explosions continue, but, fortunately, no one has been hurt yet.
The situation in Mariupol remains unchanged – steadily difficult.
The main thing from the front line:
- Russia is trying to actively attack in the Kharkiv region, as well as in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. The Russians want to seize Donbass in order to get a land corridor to the temporarily occupied Crimea.
- Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 14 enemy attacks on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
- Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said, that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are putting up strong resistance. In the Kharkiv region, the defenders have already returned some cities under our control, and in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the enemy cannot break through to the administrative borders.
- The invaders are also targeting Zaporozhye. According to the Pentagon, part of the enemy troops set off from the Mariupol region towards the Zaporozhye region. However, the assault on Mariupol continues – the city is still shelled and bombed.
- As of the morning of April 30, 23,200 occupiers were officially counted dead in Ukraine. But note that the statistics may be underestimated, since it is impossible to keep accurate counts in the midst of active hostilities.
