The Russian army began to practice refueling aircraft in the air. For this reason, air raids became more protracted – for two or three hours, while the occupying fighters were in the sky.
This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat on the air of the national information telethon Unified News.
“For about six months or more we saw alarms for an hour and a half. Now the enemy has resorted to other tasks – practicing air refueling. The MiG's residence time is doubled. Now the duration of the alarms is more than 2.5 hours,” the Air Force speaker noted.
Previously, MiG fighters had the opportunity to practice takeoff, landing, and training flights. Then the air raids continued for more than an hour. During this time, the MiG-31 spent all the aircraft’s fuel and returned to base.
