According to the case materials, the mole's subversive activities were coordinated by Alexander Belodedov, a career employee of the FSB's Alpha special operations department.
The agent's main task was to collect information about Ukrainian military aviation.
The enemy attempted to obtain the coordinates of operational airfields, logistics hubs and maintenance centers for combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
If the occupiers received the corresponding geolocations, they planned to launch missile and drone strikes against them to destroy Ukrainian aviation.
SBU officers exposed the mole in advance, documented his contacts with the Russian special service and detained him during a special operation.
The Security Service also carried out comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of Ukrainian troop locations.
SBU investigators informed the agent of suspicion of high treason committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law.
The perpetrator is currently in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
His ex-wife, who is in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, was also suspected in absentia of high treason in wartime conditions.
Earlier, the SBU detained a student displaced from the Luhansk region in Cherkassy, who was preparing attacks on the region on orders from Russian special services.
