Ukrainian defenders need heavy weapons/Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian defenders have been heroically defending the state from Russian invaders for almost 2 months now. However, in order to finally defeat the enemies, they need heavy weapons.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said this on the air of the national telethon, Channel 24 reports. She noted that the advantage of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is that it is an intellectual army.
Ukrainian army needs heavy weapons
According to Malyar, the tactics and strategy of the Ukrainian commanders do indeed prevail over Russian approaches in this sense. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine require military assistance, namely heavy weapons.
Therefore, to a large extent, the duration of the war will also depend on the intensity and quality of this assistance. That is, for their part, the Armed Forces are doing everything possible and impossible to make it as quickly as possible, but there are objective circumstances that depend not only on us,” the Deputy Minister noted.
In particular, our army needs air defense systems, missiles, anti-tank weapons. However, according to Malyar, it is necessary to understand that Ukraine, as a state, is doing everything necessary.
“That is, today we are conducting very active diplomatic and political activities. The lists of what we need, they have been formed Armed Forces of Ukraine. And these are closed lists, this is secret information“, – said the Deputy Minister.
These lists are processed together with Western partners. President Volodymyr Zelensky is in direct contact with the presidents of other countries, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is in direct contact with the ministers of defense of other countries, and Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny is in direct contact with the commanders-in-chief of other countries.
“That is, today, from the point of view of communication, Ukraine has built an absolutely high-quality, transparent and very effective process.But there are objective circumstances.For example, the fact that the event, as well as our enemy the Russian Federation, unfortunately, counted on the fact that 3 days or a maximum of a week and Ukraine will lie down,” Malyar said.
According to her, that is why Ukraine did not feel such help that would quickly stop the enemy. However, today the position of Western countries is somewhat changing.
