Due to the insufficient number of high-precision missile weapons, the enemy is looking for other ways to hit the critical and military facilities of Ukraine. This was reported at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of May 25.
The enemy has stepped up the use of aviation to support the offensive of its ground group, the report says.
The situation on directions
In the Volyn and Polesye directions, about 7 battalions of Belarusian troops continue to guard the border with Ukraine. The threat of missile strikes from Belarus still exists.
In the Seversk direction, the enemy continues to equip strongholds in the territory of the Bryansk region. The occupiers continued shelling the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilian infrastructure in the Sumy region from the territory of Russia.
In Kharkivdirection, the main efforts of the invaders are concentrated on holding the occupied positions. They fired artillery at civilian infrastructure near Rubizhne. In addition, the enemy made another attempt to attack in the direction of Ternovaya, but was not successful.
In Slavyanskydirection, enemy units did not conduct active operations. The occupiers concentrated their main efforts on holding their positions and conducting reconnaissance. At the same time, they fired cannon and rocket artillery, mortars and tanks at the areas of the settlements of Svyatogorsk and Dovgenkoye. The enemy also launched an air strike on Bayrak. The Russians unsuccessfully tried to capture Pasika.
On the Limansky direction, the invaders stepped up the conduct of hostilities. They are shelling Liman from aviation and artillery. In the Severodonetsk direction, the Russian invaders are advancing in the direction of Severodonetsk, the fighting continues.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy was advancing in the area of Kamyshuvakha, Yakovlevka and Troitsky, but was not successful , only losses. On the Avdeevka direction, the Russians do not stop mortar and artillery attacks on the positions of the defense forces and civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Avdeevka, Peski, Maryinka, Orekhov and Novoselka. The enemy came from aviation in the areas of Kamenka, Avdeevka and Novomikhailovka.
On the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, active enemy actions were not recorded. The invaders fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
