Military instructors from France in Ukraine

Soon military personnel from France will arrive in Ukraine, who will become instructors for Ukrainian fighters.

This became known following a conversation between the head of the Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky with the Minister of the French Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu.

— I have already signed documents that will allow the first French instructors to visit our training centers and get acquainted with their infrastructure and staff, — Syrsky said following the conversation.

The Commander-in-Chief believes that such a friendly gesture from Paris will be a signal for other European partners to join such an ambitious project.

NATO PA called for allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons against the Russian Federation

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly called on their governments to grant Ukraine permission to use Western weapons on Russian territory.

As people's deputy and head of the permanent delegation of Ukraine to the NATO PA Yegor Chernev said, we are talking about lifting certain restrictions on hitting legitimate targets deep in Russia.

— We managed to push through this decision at the last moment, since this clause was not in the original version of the declaration, — wrote by Chernev.

He noted that one of the determining factors was the support of this initiative from the American delegation led by Mike Turner and Gerald Connolly. Chernev added that parliamentarians will now have legal grounds to put even more pressure on their governments to ensure that NATO PA decisions are implemented.

The NATO PA statement said that the bloc's member countries must speed up the supply of critical weapons needed by Ukraine to win the war with Russia, and lift restrictions that prohibit their use against military targets on Russian territory.

— Ukraine must be provided with everything it needs as quickly as possible and for as long as it needs to win, — says the declaration adopted by the NATO PA at the end of its spring session in Sofia.

NATO Secretary General criticized the countries of the Alliance

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is outraged that in recent months the allies have been dragging their feet on fulfilling their promises to Ukraine on arms supplies.

Due to the slowness of the Western allies, the Ukrainian army is losing its defense capability and cannot protect the population from massive attacks by the Russian Federation.

— The problem is that in recent months we have not delivered to Ukraine what we promised. The United States spent six months agreeing on a new aid package. The European allies, who promised one million ammunition, delivered nothing close to that amount, — said Stoltenberg.

He explained that the lack of air defense, weapons and ammunition was detrimental to the ability of the Defense Forces to defend their land.

The politician called on partners to speed up the allocation of military assistance, listing exactly what Kyiv needs right now.
