On April 9, President Volodymyr Zelensky received British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Kyiv. The parties discussed financial and military support for Ukraine.
Johnson presented a new aid package
The head of the British government spoke about the results of the meeting on his Twitter. Johnson presented Zelensky with a new package of military and financial assistance to Ukraine.
According to Johnson, in this way the UK confirms the support of Ukraine in the barbaric war that Russia unleashed.
Today I met my friend President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv as a sign of our unwavering support for the people of Ukraine. We are creating a new package of financial and military assistance, testifying to our dedication to his country's fight against Russia's barbaric campaign,” Johnson said in a message.
Note that within two days, Vladimir Zelensky managed to accept:
- Austrian Chancellor Karl Negammer;
- Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Geger;
- European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell.
