After a Russian pilot hijacked an Mi-8 helicopter and flew it to the territory of Ukraine, the number of Russian military personnel who want to surrender through the I Want to Live project increased by 70%.
GUR representative Andrey Yusov said this on Radio Liberty.
— There is a jump along the line I want to live separately and through other communication channels. After the successful operation Sinitsa with the Mi-8 and the pilot, let’s say, the number of Russian Army servicemen who are considering a similar scenario for themselves has increased. Application for the state project I want to live — the jump occurred by about 70% in a day, — he said.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate also commented on information from Telegram channels that the person who transfers the Russian MiG to Ukraine can receive $2 million.
