After the fall of Putin, Russia's nuclear weapons should be taken under control: how this can be done

by alex

Nuclear safety in the world can only be controlled by joint efforts. Scientific discussions of the most likely conditions for deterring Russia's aggression against this background are already actively underway.

Oleksiy Buryachenko, a political scientist and executive director of the International Organization of Small Communities, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, the denuclearization of Russia must be controlled.

Danger from Russia

Aleksey Buryachenko explained that the further political fate of Russia would largely be determined in the Ukrainian fields.

Denuclearization, deprivation of nuclear status, satisfaction of the initiatives of some peoples and subjects of the federation to separate from Muscovy – this is a matter for the next period, he noted.

According to the political scientist, the situation that is currently observed with the UN, unfortunately, will not allow solving these issues.

“Russia in the UN Security Council is absolutely illegal. It is not clear on what grounds it is considered the assignee of this status of the Soviet Union,” he focused his attention.

Buryachenko said that many countries are afraid that Russia's withdrawal from the UN Security Council could push him to uncontrollable consequences.

The next step after the fall of the Putin regime in the world is proposed to define new geopolitical security structures,” he said.

In addition, they will be qualitatively different from the current ones.

How can the Russian nuclear threat be eliminated?

Aleksey Buryachenko noted that concrete actions should be proposed.

It is necessary to take the circulation of nuclear weapons under the control of a supranational institution,” he noted.

According to the political scientist, 3 subjects should act as leaders in this process: the European Union, the USA and China. If they agree among themselves on the transfer of the rights to make key decisions to the institution, then the smaller nuclear countries will also be forced to “go along the corridor of these decisions.”

“Now there is no political possibility in general in the world to deprive some country, and especially such a large and uncontrolled one as Russia, of nuclear weapons,” he is convinced.

Buryachenko said that coercion to take total control of Russian nuclear weapons is already a more realistic prospect that can be realized.

Levers of Decisions

The political scientist emphasized that the denuclearization of Russia can only take place under supervision. However, the UN Security Council will not cope with this mission.

The greatest risk of the Western world is the uncontrolled use of nuclear weapons after the theoretical collapse of Russia, he said.

According to him, the global security architecture should be changed.

“In any case, this can happen after the fall of Putin and the Putin regime,” he stressed.

Buryachenko explained that proposals for the implementation of the plan are now being actively discussed. However, the most important thing is a balanced solution between China, the US and the EU.

It is necessary to find such an option in order to minimize the threat from Russia, but reflect the basic needs, interests of both key world players and players who, in principle, in the world either formally or informally have nuclear weapons,” he stressed.

In his opinion, this is a difficult task.

Nuclear blackmail of Russia: key

  • On February 21, the Russian dictator announced that Russia was suspending its participation in the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty, which limits the number of warheads. Political scientist Valentin Gladkikh believes that the Kremlin wants to assess the reaction of the world
  • Vladimir Putin also said that Russia wants to return to the discussion of French and British nuclear weapons. The bunker grandfather complained about NATO, which turned out to be “a military bloc, not a political one.”
  • After the suspension of the treaty with Russia, American B-52 strategic bombers noticed over Tallinn. Now they will be at the air base in Spain.
