After the alleged explosions at the airbase in Machulishchi, Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting with the security forces on February 27. The meeting between Lukashenka and the Belarusian security officials took place before the dictator's trip to China.

Lukashenka held a meeting with the heads of law enforcement agencies, at which he asked them to report on the nature of the internal and military situation in Belarus, writes Channel 24 .

Lukashenka looked very worried and tense

A short video from this meeting was made public on Lukashenka's official website. He did not mention any specific event that prompted him to meet.

According to some media reports, at the meeting itself, Lukashenka looked very worried and tense. In addition, he demanded “severe” discipline from the leaders of law enforcement agencies, with particular emphasis on the border.

We all need to see any slightest threat to our state on the borders of our country in order to take appropriate response measures. They use every opportunity to stir up the situation in Belarus. And they will do it,” Lukashenka said.

Border guards tightened checks at the exit from Belarus

As Radio Liberty writes, a day after a possible incident at a military airfield in Machulishchi near Minsk, Belarusian border guards have tightened control of the exit from the country.

In particular, people who crossed the border with Poland and Lithuania on February 27 reported a thorough inspection of personal belongings and vehicles.

Such procedures have been taking place at the Warsaw Bridge crossing on the border with Poland since at least the morning of February 27.

There is an assumption that the tightening of control is connected with the incident in Machulishchi, which has not yet been reported by official sources. The border committee does not comment on the innovations.

There was a “pop” in Belarus

  • On the morning of February 26, two explosions occurred at the Machulishchi airfield, located 12 kilometers from Minsk. As a result, one of the Russian military transport aircraft GRLS A-5 was damaged.
  • Activists reported that Belarusian partisans claimed responsibility for the incident.
  • Belarusian activists are sure that two UAVs were involved in the explosions at the airfield in the village of Machulishchi. Probably, it was they who damaged the Russian aircraft DRLS A-50.
