Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle was invited to a hearing in Congress in connection with the assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The corresponding invitation was issued by the oversight committee of the US House of Representatives, reports department on platform X.
A congressional hearing, where the director of the US Secret Service will speak, will take place on July 22. The committee notes that “Americans are demanding an answer to the attempt to assassinate President Trump”.

An attempt was made on former US President Donald Trump during a rally – he was shot at, as a result of which the politician was injured. The identity of the criminal was immediately established and eliminated, but his actions had already entailed inevitable consequences — death of a person who was at the event.
