The Ukrainian military is gradually dismissing Ukrainian cities and planning to de-occupy Kherson. At the same time, Mariupol, for which our soldiers heroically fought, is still blocked, the occupation there has been going on for almost 5 months.

Adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, told Channel 24 about this. He says that it is impossible to say that Mariupol has been forgotten.
According to him, Mariupol residents will soon see the same situation as Kherson residents see now.
Now the very point of fighting in the Donetsk region is in the north. But we are sure of our victory, that Melitopol, Berdyansk and then Mariupol will be fired. We are not that far away from them,” Andryushchenko said.
He added that the people of Mariupol are also watching the front line. In his opinion, both the occupiers and the locals understand the inevitable liberation of Mariupol.
It is interesting, as the mayor's adviser noted, today Mariupol residents for the first time began to stock up again.
This is due to what happened to the Antonovsky bridge in Kherson, and people want to celebrate the New Year with the Ukrainian flag. This gives hope to people and gives fear to the occupiers, – Andryushchenko's explanation.

Siege of Mariupol by the Russians: main
- Mariupol has become a city that resisted the invaders for months, a place of endurance, and its defenders a symbol of invincibility. Mariupol has been under blockade since March 2022.
- The invaders deliberately destroy houses, killing thousands of Ukrainians, and many survivors are forced to go through “filtration” camps and live in a humanitarian catastrophe. However, the locals continue to believe that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon deblock Mariupol.
- The mayor of the city, Vadim Boychenko, believes that this will happen in winter – he even predicted the months of the liberation of Mariupol from Russian invaders. In his opinion, the de-occupation will take place in December 2022 – January 2023.
- The mayor's office adds that in 10 years it is planned to restore half of Mariupol – this will require about 14 billion euros. At the same time, they want to start preparing for the revival soon.
