Over the past few days, the activity of Russian assault units near the border of Sumy Oblast has decreased, while the enemy continues to try to advance with the help of small groups.
The spokesman for the State Border Service, Andriy Demchenko, spoke about this on the air of the United News telethon.
Situation on the border of Sumy region
— The length of the border with the Russian Federation within the Sumy region is about 550 km, and only on a small section does the enemy continue to use the tactic of attempting to enter with small assault groups. The armored vehicles with which the enemy tried to break through our border there are not recorded. Infantry groups are more likely to use ATVs or motor vehicles, — he explained.

At the same time, in the defense zones controlled by the State Border Guard Service units, as Demchenko noted, over the past few days the activity of enemy infantry groups and attempts to enter Ukrainian territory has decreased somewhat.
He attributes the decrease in enemy activity in this direction to the fact that, due to large losses, he is forced to regroup units.
“Initially, the enemy did not pay attention to these losses, but now the intensity of its actions in the border areas has decreased, as has the intensity of the use of motorized equipment by infantry groups, since it is also being destroyed,” added the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces have repelled 13 enemy attacks in the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 1,213 days.
