Ukrainian operations on the territory of the Russian Federation, “claps” in different Russian regions are aimed at undermining the military potential of the aggressor.
Deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky spoke about this on the air of the United News telethon.
He explained that the Main Intelligence Directorate works methodically, identifying the most critical goals and objects for the Russian Federation. We are talking about military facilities, facilities of the military-industrial complex that ensure the production of missiles and drones, as well as facilities “that relate to the logistics of the grouping of troops of the Russian Federation”.

Skibitsky added, that there are many such targets on Russian territory, and “they are all numbered, determined by hierarchy”.
– We purposefully destroy them in order to reduce the potential of the Russian Federation. To achieve a domino effect, when the destruction of one enterprise will lead to the fact that others that are tied to its products will stop producing military products, — he emphasized.
Skibitsky clarified that intelligence “works pointwise”, exclusively on objects that support the activities of the Russian Federation to wage war against Ukraine.
And this is how we differ from the occupiers who attack peaceful Ukrainian cities and villages and critical infrastructure.
According to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, intelligence uses all means during operations in the Russian Federation, not just drones.
– We are now working with all the means that we have. And this comprehensive approach is not just drones. These include missile systems and corresponding intelligence units, including those operating on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Skibitsky said.
He noted that the Main Intelligence Directorate has methods that intelligence has been using for more than a year. Before each operation, everything is worked out, verified and “a complete picture is made of the object that is to be destroyed”.
Skibitsky said that the Western partners had “some warnings” regarding strikes against Russian targets. For example, at the first stage they talked about a possible escalation of the conflict. They also had concerns about the reaction of the Russian Federation.
– First of all, we use, in particular, “NATO” methods. They (Western partners –Ed.) understand that this is not just to launch a missile or drone across the territory of the Russian Federation. Yes, there are some caveats, but from a military point of view there is a complete understanding of the situation and the actions that we are taking, — said a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
As you know, recently in Russia there have been more and more popping noises, explosions, and oil depots burning. For example, in the last few days in Bryansk, drones have been attacking the Silicon El plant, one of the largest microelectronics enterprises in the Russian Federation.
