Accused of the murder of Kirill Tlyavov may be sent to the front/Collage of Channel 24
The murder of 5-year-old Kirill Tlyavov in the Kyiv region in May 2019 shook the whole of Ukraine. The police are accused of the crime, who were also drunk at the time of the murder.
In the case, on May 11 and 12, the first hearings by video link since the Russian attack on Ukraine took place. They are conducted by the Pereyaslavsky city district court of the Kyiv region.
The ex-police officer is asked to be fired to the front
The court decided to extend the preventive measures for the accused. The meeting, which was supposed to take place in March, was postponed, and the precautionary measures continued automatically until May.
Prosecutor Sergei Samchuk said that the defendants in the case, Vladimir Petrovets and Dmitry Krivoshey, would remain on bail.
Another defendant, ex-policeman Ivan Prikhodko, will continue to remain in the pre-trial detention center. At the same time, his defense asks for dismissal so that he can go to the front. The lawyer solicits this before the regional and General Prosecutor's Offices. At the same time, prosecutor Sergei Skamchuk said that no such petition had been received.
According to lawyer Viktor Chevguz, Prikhodko’s charge under Article 616 is subject to his dismissal from custody.
If such a decision is made, then within 24 hours Prikhodko must come to the military enlistment office and be sent somewhere to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The case against him may be suspended, but separated into a separate proceeding,” lawyer Chevguz explained.
As he assures, it will not release the accused from criminal responsibility for the crime. They can only be released from custody so that Prikhodko goes to the front.
What the relatives of the murdered Tlyavov say
The grandmother of the murdered boy thinks what developments may delay the case. Therefore, she is against Prikhodko being taken to the war from the pre-trial detention center.

Briefly about the murder
- The grief happened on May 31, 2019 in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky. Two policemen, their friend and a teenager were resting in one of the yards. The men were drinking and shooting at metal cans.
- Children were playing 80 meters from the company's entertainment. At 15:36 one of them, Kirill Tlyavov, was shot in the head. The child was immediately taken to the intensive care unit with a severe closed craniocerebral injury, brain contusion, intracerebral hematoma, fracture of the temporal bone.
- The surgeon found a ball in Kirill's head, he underwent surgery, but the boy died. Law enforcement officers identified those involved. The defendants are Vladimir Petrovets and Dmitry Krivoshey and ex-police officer Ivan Prikhodko.
